Some turtle species have male hatchlings from eggs incubated at lower temperatures, while others have females hatching from eggs incubated at the temperature extremes in the nest. Gardening can be a fantastic outdoor science class! Try germinating seeds or planting some seedlings. From gardening, kids can learn about photosynthesis, the chemistry of soil and pollination. In fact, many life science, math, biology and chemistry concepts can be explored through caring for plants!

If elephants could talk human languages, they could probably teach us many things. Scientific studies have suggested that elephants may have superior memories and learning functions to humans. This is because elephant brains are larger and contain larger numbers of neurons than those of humans. So here’s to the mighty elephant on #SavetheElephantDay!
